When To Visit Sydney
When is the best time to visit Sydney? Well there is no one answer to this question as it depends on what you want to see, do, experience and spend on your visit.
The Australian Summer from December to February is warm and sunny. Sydney is blessed with a temperate climate and averages Summer temperatures of around 25°C (77°F). During the summer months it is the perfect climate to visit Sydney's beautiful beaches but remember the Australian sun can be quite strong, so it's best to wear a shirt, put on a hat and use sunscreen containing a minimum SPF30+. Summer is the Sydney holiday period therefore you should expect availability of accommodation to be scarce and more expensive then at other times throughout the year.
The Australian Winter from June to August is generally mild and there is no snow in Sydney. The average temperature should range from about 8°C (46.5°F) at night to 16°C (61°F) in the daytime in Mid-Winter. Autumn in Australia is a touch warmer than the Winter months but still on the cooler side. Expect temperatures from around 15°C (59°F) at night to 22°C (72°F) during the daytime.
