Harvest Festival
The Hunter Valley Harvest Festival falls in April. This Harvest Festival is the most important event in the Hunter Valley as this is predominantly is a wine-producing country. This is the time of harvest and the conclusion of a period of long and hard toil and hence the time to relax and celebrate.
Wine Show
The wine show of the Hunter Valley is held in August. This is the time when the wines from all over the region are gathered together for the show. The individual winemakers have their own shows held in the month of October, which is the new growing season.
Music
Tourism and wineries have been promoting each other in the Hunter Valley since many years. Many events including music concerts are held to attract visitors to the Hunter who are ever-growing in number every year. And without doubt the music in the vines is one of the most exhilarating experiences that a visitor to the Hunter takes back home in his heart. Jazz concerts and opera recitals are organized in the vineyards in October when the Hunter is celebrating the new growing season. Blues, classical and pop musicians from all over the world have come to the Hunter Valley to perform in these yearly muscical events.
Christmas
Come December, the vines are bowing heavy with fruit, and the Hunter Valley is overflowing with Christmas carols from the vineyards, adding to its tranquility. Christmas in the wine country could really be unique and a different experience from Christmas in the city.
New Year
January brings in a lot of events, festivals, and occasions in different parts of the wine country to celebrate the advent of the New Year. Tourism in the Hunter and the wines of the Hunter have been promoting each other for a long time and the cycle has brought in several events every year that remain ongoing year after year.
