Things To Do in Sydney
Fort Macquarie was an artillery post and ordnance store of earlier Sydney and remained so until 1902. The Tarpeian Way which was a sandstone ridge in Bennelong Point was quarried for the fort in 1817. The Fort carried 15 guns and had a turretted structure which was brought down in 1959 when the Opera House was being constructed.
