IMAX Theatre

On the waterfront in Darling Harbour, Sydney, situates the IMAX Theatre. The IMAX Theatre building is very conspicuous with its characteristic yellow checkerboard frontage. The building adorned in aluminium was given its distinctive design by the Australian architect Lionel Glendinning.
The IMAX Theatre has the largest screening system in the world with its giant screen which is more than eight storeys high. The images are ten times larger than what one sees in a traditional cinema and along with the digital surround sound, the IMAX Theatre offers the viewer a spellbinding movie watching experience. The Theatre screens films both in 2D and 3D and with its futuristic technology, picture-perfect imaging, and electrifying sound system, movie watching here is an out-of-this-world experience.
