Camp Cove

Camp Cove, Sydney Harbour is considered to be the first landing place of the white man in Sydney. Captain Phillip landed on these shores for the first time when he sailed in from Botany Bay to explore Port Jackson on 21 January 1788. An obelisk has been erected to commemorate this day.
