Seven Bridges Walk

The best way to know the heart, the spirit and the nature of a city is to explore it on foot. Seven Bridges Walk lets you do just that. The walk takes you across the famous bridges of Sydney, through seven villages, across different stretches of countryside, through bays and over the Parramatta River. This is a community event in which all the sporting and the sportive participate. The walk takes you around the Sydney Harbour starting at one of the world's most recognised icons, the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The course touches Milsons Point, The Rocks, Pyrmont, Rozelle, Hunters Hill, Lane Cove and Wollstonecraft and passes seven villages, providing food, water and entertainment all along. Each participant can decide his or her own start and finish time. You can start from any point in the course at any point in time and stop at any place when you wish to or when you feel you can walk no more. Free bus and ferry services are available to return participants to their start points.

The 25-kilometre Seven Bridges Walk is a community event and not a race. It is a celebration of health and anybody who participates is a winner! The money raised by the event goes to charities including Cancer Council NSW, Diabetes Australia, the Heart Foundation and beyondblue, which works towards spreading awareness and helping treatment of depression. So if you are hale and hearty and full of spirit, come, join the Seven Bridges Walk, for it is a celebration of life, health and attitude! And when you are done exploring the land and are ready to venture into the waters, the harbour provides ample and exciting options for cruising. Onboard you can enjoy the beauty of the harbour to its full with the blue sky above you and sparkling waters around you, and world famous icons and distinguished landmarks scattered all about the harbour!
